Installation Tip
To ensure optimum efficiency the units should be installed in a well-ventilated location to prevent heat build-up around the unit.
For smaller units fitted to domestic aquariums, avoid enclosing the Teco unit in a sealed cabinet. Larger units should be situated outside or vented externally.
The model 30 and 60 should be connected to a flow switch to prevent the unit running dry.
Temperature changes should always be attained gradually and progressively to prevent thermal shock in livestock or biological filters.
For T30 and T60 Units
Water supply - normally derived from a tee off an existing supply pump.
It is advised to insert a valve for regulating the flow rate and isolating the unit for maintenance purposes.
For connecting to flexible hose:
2 x 1" Socket Unions T/T.
2 x 1” BSP Multistage hosetails, suitable for 11/4", 1" and 3/4" hose.
For connecting to rigid pipe:
1 x 1" Socket Unions T/T.
