The main characteristic of this series of skimmers is their pump, which takes water from the inside of the skimmer, injects air and returns the water to the interior.
This means that the foam formed is more stable and is not affected by the level of water in the filter sump and, being totally watertight, they may be installed inside or outside the filter sump.
Thanks to the “Aloisi” injector, injection is carried out directly to the central part of the needle wheel, producing excellent air-water mixture, extending the pump's useful life and minimising vibrations.
The input water supply can be provided by three systems:
1. Using a feed pump with water from the aquarium or the filter sump.
2. Using water from the aquarium's overflow and a by-pass to control the water volume. 3. Using water from the return pump by means of a by-pass.
