This skimmer is a taller version of the 702 standing nearly 1m high and with a tube 250mm in diameter. The photo shows the older version of the skimmer which was based on a smaller diameter tube and cup.
The skimmer must be supplied with water either by gravity feed from the aquarium or via a separate pump.
The European AP902 is fitted with 2 Eheim pumps each drawing in 600lts of air per hour giving a total of 1,200lts/hour. This is less than for the 702 due to the resistance of the extra head of water in the longer tube however the contact time is longer.
